Create a new repository

A repository holds your project's files and history.

Where should it live?

Your device keeps the repository. I2P Mirror shows it here and lets others find it, but your copy stays the original.

On your computer The I2P Mirror desktop app serves the repository from your computer while the app is running.

Open the app's Repos page.
Choose New repository…, or Import folder… for a project you already have.
Turn on Serve for it on the Control page.

Get the desktop app

On your phone The iPhone and Android app keeps the repository on your phone. Publishing sends a copy to the network, so others can clone it while your phone is off.

Open the Repos tab.
Under On this device, tap New repository, or Import from Files.
Open it and tap Publish.

Already installed? Link the app to this account in Settings › Nodes, and the repository appears in your list once it is published.

Start empty and push with git over HTTPS.

What to bring over

CodeEvery branch and tag, copied once. Issues and pull requestsWith comments and history, copied once. They are listed under External repositories.

Read-only access token (only for a private repository) Used for this import only and never stored. On GitHub, a fine-grained token for that one repository with Contents, Issues and Pull requests set to Read-only is enough.

Short and memorable. Letters, numbers, . - _, up to 64 characters.

Description (optional)

PublicAnyone can find, browse and clone it. PrivateEncrypted mirror, contents stay hidden.

Initialize this repository with Add a README fileA first commit, so you can clone straight away.

Finish on your desktop node

The browser cannot create or queue this mirror. Nothing has been published yet. Complete these steps in your I2P Mirror desktop node:
